Artist Statement

I tried. I tried to fix it. (2026) reflects a mental state I have navigated over the past few years.

 

Through the gesture of repairing a broken tile, the work speaks to lived experience and an attempt to confront an inescapable trauma.

 

Though repaired, the scar remains. It is no longer the same; it has become something that is carried forward.
