The idea of this series ‘Pause’ came from my imagination of space, and also the influence of its significance. The meaning of space could be physically tangible, but on the other side, space could also be mentally abstract. To a certain extent, physical space got limitation; on the contrary, mental space is comprehensive.
I believe that no matter whether where we are, we would appreciate the response to diverse surrounding circumstances in different reactions. But those reactions are not merely external experiences; in fact, they are a mixture of the complex subconscious perception of our own. Moreover, the final image (the static image), carry the points of view and responses of the artist. This is also the basic foundation to investigate our identification and the construction of our identity.
